For the beginners among us, this way of writing up the chords is extremely convoluted and is a serious problem with this whole website. The chords SHAPES for this song are G, D and C, with the capo on fret #2. I'm not sure why people who post these tabs insist on providing the chord notes, rather than the proper chord shapes, but it just creates a lot of misleading tabs for people trying to learn the instrument.
Heck, even Ed Robertson, who wrote the song, just calls them G, D and C chords because everyone knows the chord shape is more important than the theoretical note of the chord when you are playing it. We're not trying to learn theory: we're trying to learn the song.
