[Intro]

[Verse 1]

G
Oh, Monday morning waking up still too numb to speak
Am G
Another night just staring at the wall.
G
Last night's conversation knocked me off my feet
Am G
guess today I'll fall
  Em C
I wish that we could find the words to look the other way
G D
Be careful of the things we do and watch the things we say
    Em C
And maybe then we'd get somewhere we'd never been before
    G D
But what's the use in fighting when you know you've lost the war.

[Verse 2]
G
Walk the streets in New Orleans, shirt soaked to my skin
 Am G
Through the mess of yesterday's parade.
G
Thousand times a day I think of calling you again
Am G
Come to my senses instead.
Em C
And every time we walk away we lose a little time
G D
Pretending to each other now that everything is fine
Em C
I know whatever lies I use to get myself to sleep
G D
I wake up to the promises I know we couldn't keep.

[Chorus]

              G D
Say you don't see what's wrong
      Em C
Every night lasting oh so long,
      G D G C D
And I know, I do, you're already gone.

[Bridge]

Em C G D Em C G D

  Bm Em
I wonder should I get up, would but what's the point?
C D G D/F#
Oh once something's gone it's gone for good.
Em B/D# G/D A/C#
Maybe I could look away back to where we used to be,
Am D
One more time I wish I could.

[Verse 3]

G
Oh, nevermind the reasons that tore us all apart
Am G
We've both done things I know we can't defend.
G
What's the use in tracing it all back to the start
Am G
THere's something missing in the end.
Em C
I wish that we could find the words to look the other way
G D
Be careful of the things we do and everything we say
Em C
And maybe then we'd get somewhere we'd never been before
G D
But what's the use in fighting when you know you've lost the war.

[Chorus]

              G D
Say you don't see what's wrong
      Em C
Every night lasting oh so long,
      G D Em C
And I know, I do, you're already gone.
     G D G C D G
Oh I know, I do, you're already gone.

Thanks for the Tab. I watched a couple live videos. Live they tend to play this in the key of F with Cuddy playing mostly bar chords. (No capo) A couple changes from what you have here. The second line of the bridge ends with A/D (So B/E here) The third line of the bridge he plays Dm (open) Am (open) then bar F G Gm to open C. (So Em Bm G A in the key of G shown here) Not saying your version is necessarily wrong, as studio versions can be different, but live this is how it was done, as best as I can tell. Easier too.
