It's the chords, not a tab. Correct chords at that, good job!

The Riff IS played as shown below with the "E" and the "A" sounded in a syncopated manner just prior to the down beat of the bar. I have tried to reflect this in the diagram below. Using the 6th string to play this riff, as shown, allows for the hand to be position more readily to chime the 12th and 7th frets. I think you will find this works well.
