D D/C#
I can't get to sleep
C C/B C C/B C/A C/G [indexfinger-movement* ]
I think about the implications
D D/C#
Of diving in too deep
C C/B C C/B C/A C/G
And possibly the complications
D D/C#
Especially at night
C C/B C C/B C/A C/G
I worry over situations
D D/C#
I know will be alright
C C/B
Perhaps it's just imagination

Bm A Asus4 A Asus2 A5* [hit only the 5th, 4th and 3rd string]
Day after day it reappears
Bm A A7
Night after night my heartbeat, shows the fear
F#sus4 F# G A Asus4 A Asus2 A5
Ghosts appear and fade away

D D/C#
Alone between the sheets
C C/B C C/B C/A C/G
Only brings exasperation
D D/C#
It's time to walk the streets
C C/B
Smell the desperation
D D/C#
At least there's pretty lights
C C/B C C/B C/A C/G
And though there's little variation
D D/C#
It nullifies the night
C C/B
From overkill

Bm A Asus4 A Asus2 A5*
Day after day it reappears
Bm A A7
Night after night my heartbeat, shows the fear
F#sus4 F# G G A Asus4
Ghosts appear and fade away, come back another day

I was listening to Colin explain the song and demonstrate the chords.. He wrote the song using drop D tuning so none of these versions are correct.. Not sure why everyone wants to play the song in standard tuning. Its much easier to play his way..
