A G D A x2

[Verse]
A
Feel the southern breezes
        E
and the southern wind
G D
Blowin' down around the
       A
corner bend

   A
At D'Agostino's late last night I saw
  E
A boy, fifteen, on the road
     G
With nothing in the pocket
    D A
His hand to the sky, nowhere else to go

        A
Can you see it
E
  or believe it
            G D
To send the corner man
               A
He's never been

   A
So come with me, I'll show you where the
E
Dogwoods bloom, it's true
G D
Lost and found and lost again
       A
To the Honeysuckle Blue

[Solo]
A E G D A x4

[Riff]
A G D A

[Verse]
A
Runnin' through these caverns of gold
       E
Runs a river of death indeed
   G D
An old hotel serves as a shelter
    A
for children of the street

 A
Abandoned by the promised land
    E
Set sail on your own
G D
How much longer will the well
   A
be dry for those who roam

        A
I got a ticket
E
  in my pocket
            G D
to send the corner man
               A
He's never been

A
Have you ever seen the
           E
Blue Ridge Mountains boy
       G D
or the Chatahootchee
       A
or the Honeysuckle Blue

[Riff]
A G D A

[Bridge]
A G
Call me to the promised land
D A
Stand aside to understand
A G
Far too close to see things through
D A
Once on edge and once removed

A G
Call me to the promised land and roll me down the road
D A
Run down and leave me lying on the road alone
A G
If you got time I'll take you through the times of love and war
D A
Stand by my side and let it all run out to roar
        A G
Well, I got a dream and I got a love but it's standing far too low
      D A
And I got something to know again and it's all bound by law
          A G
Well, I'm bound by law you running for and holding me all alone
D A
Lost and found and lost again to the Honeysuckle Blue

[Riff]
A G D A

This song reminds me of amazing times growing up. Might be the most criminally underrated band of all time.

the intro lick is wrong. the intro does use the A G D chord structure, and the first 2 verses use A E G D. The last section that starts with "take me to the promised land" goes back the intro/chorus structure of A G D. i have the solo tab, dont know how to post it here...
