[Verse 1]
C G
Sometimes you dream, sometimes it seems
G C
There's nothing there at all
Am Em
You just seem older than yesterday
F G
And you're waiting for tomorrow to call
C G
You draw to the curtain and one thing's for certain
G C
You're cozy in your little room
Am Em
The carpet's all paid for God bless the TV
F G
Let's go shoot a hole in the moon
[Chorus]
C D
Oh, and Roy Rogers is riding tonight
F C
Returning to our silver screens
G C
Comic book characters never grow old
F D G
Evergreen heroes whose stories were told
Am Em
Oh the great sequin cowboy who sings of the plains
F D G
Of roundups and rustlers and home on the range
Am Em F G C Csus4 C
Turn on the TV, shut out the lights Roy Rogers is riding tonight
[Verse 2]
C G
Nine o'clock mornings, five o'clock evenings
C
I'd liven the pace if I could
Am Em
Oh I'd rather have a ham in my sandwich than cheese
F G
But complaining wouldn't do any good
C G
Lay back in my armchair, close eyes and think clear
C
I can hear hoof beats ahead
Am Em
Roy and Trigger have just hit the hilltop
F G
While the wife and the kids are in bed
[Chorus]
C D
Oh, and Roy Rogers is riding tonight
F C
Returning to our silver screens
G C
Comic book characters never grow old
F D G
Evergreen heroes whose stories were told
Am Em
Oh the great sequin cowboy who sings of the plains
F D G
Of roundups and rustlers and home on the range
Am Em F G C Csus4 C
Turn on the TV, shut out the lights Roy Rogers is riding tonight

Great tab. Wondered why you didn't do it in F like the record, till I tried it in both keys. Its definitely easier, and sounds better in C as you've done it. G is good as well. Well done.
