George Strait - Love is Everything
* = one downstrum
[Intro]
| D | G | Bm | A |
[Verse 1]
D
She was leanin' on a rail in a cotton dress
G
Summer tanned pretty little perfect mess
Bm A
With a story that could only be anybody's guess
D
And I was thinkin' that I probably didn't stand a chance
G
But I rolled up my sleeves, walked up and I said
Bm A G A
Hey I know I don't know you, but I'd kinda like a shot
Bm
She said I saw you comin' over
A G A
I already thought it over and ok, so now what
[Chorus]
D
And I said, well I got a car
She said, there's something
G
At least it's a start
I said it's better than nothing
Bm A
I ain't in no hurry but I'm ready when you are
D
And she said, where do you think all this is goin'?
G
I said, there ain't no way of knowin'
Bm A G A
I guess I hadn't thought it through that far
D
But I got a car
[Verse 2]
D
So, we let the wheels turn and the windows down
G
We let ourselves go all the way through town
Bm A
She never said stop, and I never asked her why
D
We drove into the night when outta nowhere
G
She said, I'd give anything to never go back there
Bm A G A
And I kinda wish this day would never end
Bm
She said, I could use a change
A G A
But I don't even know where to begin
[Chorus]
D
And I said, well I got a car
She said, there's something
G
At least it's a start
I said it's better than nothing
Bm A
I ain't in no hurry, but I'm ready when you are
D
And she said, where do you think all this is goin'?
G
I said there ain't no way of knowin'
Bm A G A
I really hadn't thought it through that far
Bm A G A
And I can't promise you the moon and stars
A
But I got a car
| A* D* | x3
[Bridge]
G
We got lost in the miles, lost track of the days
D
'Til we, finally found a stoppin' place
Bm A G
When the doctor's said, you know what's on the way?
And we found ourselves in a little white house
D
One, Sunday morning rain pourin' down
Bm A
She said, I think it's time
G A
But all the lines are out
Bm A
And her eyes teared up and she said
G A*
What are we gonna do now?
[Chorus]
D
And I said, well I got a car
She said, there's something
G
You think it'll start?
I said it's already runnin'
Bm
Got your things in the back
A
And I'm ready when you are
D
She said, are you sure it'll get us where we're goin'?
G Bm
I said, if there's one thing I know girl
A G A
It's gotten us this far
Bm
And I don't mean to hurry
A G
But I'm ready when you are
[Outro]
| D | G | Bm | A | D | G | Bm | A | D*

Good song. My grandmaw loves ol George.

That sounds good. The A can be played without pressing the B string (I'm not sure what variation of A that is), but either way sounds good. Also the B should be not barred but:
B: x24400
Just sounds a little better for this song but the regular chords work too.
