Hella - Furthest (from Tripper, 2011)
 
Tuning: DGDGBe
 
As far as I know, no tabs have ever been written for this song and no live footage exists,
so this is all by ear. This tuning seems most likely given the opening riff, but feel free
to experiment and see if there's a better candidate.
This tune is incredibly fun to play, and like most Hella songs its timing is far easier to
nail if you just listen repeatedly and learn to "feel" it, rather than perfectly working out
time signatures and everything (which I would guess is how the band composes their own songs anyhow)

This part is extremely hard to parse, even if you slow it down. This is the closest
I've gotten, and I think there's still something happening in the lower register that
I can't wrap my head around.
While palm muting the lower strings, sweep your pick or fingernail down the
bottom three strings in a quick triplet (this can take practice), then immediately
swipe your thumbnail or pick back up across them all at once.
Chuggity-cha, chuggity-cha, chuggity-cha. Don't forget to strum that extra beat after
you hit the high G, which flips the rhythm every time and takes you in and out of sync
with the drums. Don't think too hard about it, just groove!
