I’m not sure about the C7 part. It’s definitely a C but not sure about the extension.

Absolutely, thank you! I’ve been playing a descending c major pentatonic as the “riff”. Seems to be what John Kahn does and goes nicely with an upbeat song!.

I see now that it hangs on C for a little bit after the lyrics and then hits the C7 for a sec before going to the F. Seems like there’s possibly some potential after the F to do a brief Fmaj7 as well instead of just staying on a straight F the whole time. I’m not a pro so I may be wrong
