(1)
I am driving up 85 in the
Kind of morning that lasts all afternoon (2)
just stuck inside the gloom (1)
4 more exits to my apartment but
I am tempted to keep the car in drive (2)
And leave it all behind (1)
(3) Cause I wonder sometimes
About the outcome
Of a still verdictless life
(4) Am I living it right?
Am I living it right?
Am I living it right?
Why Georgia, why?
(1)
I rent a room and I fill the spaces with
Wood in places to make it feel like home (2)
But all I feel's alone (1)
It might be a quarter life crisis (2)
Or just the stirring in my soul (1)
(3) Either way I wonder sometimes
About the outcome
Of a still verdictless life
(4) Am I living it right?
Am I living it right?
Am I living it right?
Why Georgia, why? (5)
(5) So what, so I've got a smile on
But it's hiding the quiet superstitions in my head
Don't believe me
When I say I've got it down (1)
Everybody is just a stranger but
That's the danger in going my own way (2)
I guess it's the price I have to pay (1)
(3b) Still "everything happens for a reason"
Is no reason not to ask myself
(4) If I am living it right
Am I living it right?
Am I living it right?
Why Georgia, why? (1)

Why Georgia – John Mayer
How to play
"Why Georgia"

i'd say it's about perfect chord wise
except for a couple things
in the intro, he sort of slides up to the x54 thing
and of course there is the palm slapping.
also in the part 2, that's not quite what he's playing
it's sort of a Cadd9 thing with all that stuff going on,
and the D string is muted,
so it's a lot easier than you made it..
also, he plays something different than what you have marked for "it might be a quarter life crisis or just the stirring in my soul"
i haven't figured that out yet..
