THE LONGER THE WAITING (THE SWEETER THE KISS) by Josh Turner
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Very similar to the version by Anna Ternheim, but transposed a couple of
half-steps higher, which Josh then drops a whole octave. The Ebm chord was
just obnoxious to try to play, so if you wish you can just sub in the C
chord. Changes the mood a little bit, but it's much easier to play.

Standard tuning

[Verse]
        C F C
Oh, the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss
                Am F G
It's better my darling, I promise you this
    Em F C Dm
The next time I hold you, I'm not letting go

        C F Am
You can marry another, it's alright with me

This girl I've liked for the longest time, this is her favorite song. We've finally shared the way we feel for each other, and I cannot begin to express how I feel. We only see each other once a year, and this song just felt appropriate, and it's something we've shared and bonded over together for the longest time.

The tab looks pretty great. I did notice a few chords were missing. C Am F C Well you know I'm a sailor and tomorrow we sail Em F C Dm And if I surrender my life to the sea F C G Am Though we won't be together again till the spring These are just examples since most of the song follows the same format, but walking down and up to the notes just makes it sound more accurate.
