Em G x4

Em G
When the darkness comes
Em G
Surrounds you in your sleep
Em G
Swallows up the sun
        Em G
I will chase you to the deep
Em G
I don’t know the end
      Em G
It’s never how I thought
Em G
Is it real or pretend
      Em G
Are we free or are we not

       C Em
Or if one flame goes out
                   G D
Does the other one gain or wane
       C Em
Or if two flames go out
              D
Do they stay the same

         C D
So just call me you know I will be waiting
                C D
For you as you walk towards that redemption sound
          C D
You know I’ll be the stillness when you’re shaking
                    C D
And when you fall overboard I’ll follow you down
                Em D C
I’ll follow you down down down down down
                Em D C
I’ll follow you down down down down down

 Em G
Call me and I’ll lift you up
     Em G
I’m never far from you
Em G
Tell me when you’ve had enough
   Em G
And I will carry you through

         C Em
Cause if two flames go out
         D
They stay the same

So just call me you know I will be waiting

Playing side-by-side with the record, this is the right progression but the wrong tuning/placement. Put a capo on the 7th (to 6th if you're tuned E Standard) and play in Am instead (switch the tab to -7). You can hear her drone that open 5th string from that position. Also, Lights tends to play everything with Am, C/G, and F/E chord shapes, simply moving up and down the neck with a capo to change the key. So between the open 5th drone and the chord shapes she favours, I'm pretty sure this is right: E Standard with a capo on 6th, or Eb with a capo on 7th, and play in Am. But the progression here is correct, so you can simply transpose the tab; the tab is not wrong per se, it's just using a less likely method of playing the same tune as Lights more probably uses.

Try putting the capo on the 4th fret instead

Definitely better to tune a 1/2 step down your guitar imo.
