Verse 1:
Born to be down,
I've learned all my lessons before now...
Born to be down,
I think you'll get used to it.
And you just don't get it,
you keep it copacetic.
And you learn to accept it,
And you know it's so pathetic.

I've seen Scott play this live and it looks and sounds more like it's 542 rather than 545 at the end of the main riff. He looks like he's pretty messy with it too, like not keeping a finger on the 5th fret on A, it looks like he might just be hitting some other strings open will sliding down to 2 or just the whole 4542. Rock n Roll always sounds better messy anyway.

I just tried it. It sounds accurate to me. And if you listen closely to the track, you can hear higher frequencies of open strings. Keep in mind that Scott's guitar uses two bass strings so the lower frequencies from those would naturally eat up the higher strings a little.

They don't use all of the strings for the chorus. Just simple power chords.
