Somethin's in the air tonight

I think there are two basic strum patterns for the verse and chorus, something like this:
D-DUD-DU-UDU-UD
[1]
D-D-D-DU-UDU-UD [2]
If you listen very closely to the CD version, you should be able to hear it. The first
C#m7 is played more freely, but then he goes into pattern 1. At "break" in the first verse, he switches to pattern 2.
During the pre-chorus, he switches to a strumming pattern that uses even more slower consecutive downstrokes.
During
the chorus, I believe he mainly uses pattern 2, but it's so drowned out by the other instruments that it's hard to tell.

The Asus2 sounds ackward to me, but other than that; it's a good job.

Good.
I just strum. The rhythm I use works (I guess it might be the same as yours). lol
