This song is composed in the key of C Lydian Mode, which is why normal pop chord progressions don't make sense. The chorus' chords are: D (2 inv.) | G/B (1 inv.) --&gt; Csus2 (root) D (2 inv.) | G/B (1 inv.) --&gt; Gsus4 (1 inv.) D (2 inv.) | G/B (1 inv.) --&gt; Csus2 (root) D (2 inv.) | G/B (1 inv.) --&gt; Gsus4 (1 inv.) Resolves to D. Note: Gsus4 1 inv. is identical to Csus2 root, just with a different bass note. The two chords are essentially interchangeable, but there is an emphasis on the original song on alternating between Csus2 first and Gsus4 second.
