[Verse]
Am
I
                                  G Fmaj7 C
I can't promise you that I won't let you down
    Am
And I
                                       G Fmaj7 C
I can't promise you that I will be the only one around
          G Fmaj7 C
When your hope falls down
          Am
But we're young
                                         G Fmaj7 C
Open flowers in the windy fields of this war-torn world
    Am
And love
                                        G Fmaj7 C G Fmaj7 C
This city breathes the plague of loving things more than their cre-at-ors

[Verse]
      Am
I ran away
                                    G Fmaj7 C
I could not take the burden of both me and you
           Am
It was too fast
                                           G Fmaj7 C
Casting love on me as if it were a spell I could not break
              G Fmaj7 C
When it was a promise I could not make

[Pre-chorus]
            Am C G
But what if I was wrong?
          Am C G
O what if I was wrong?

[Chorus]
    Am G C Am G C
But hold on to what you believe in the light
         Am G C C2
When the darkness has robbed you of all your sight
    Am G C Am G C
But hold on to what you believe in the light
         Am G C C2
When the darkness has robbed you of all your sight

             Am
And now this land
                                                G Fmaj7 C
Means less and less to me without you breathing through its trees
         Am
At every turn
                                    G Fmaj7 C
The water runs away from me and the halo dis-appears
                   G Fmaj7 C
I'm not whole when you're not near

[Pre-chorus]
           Am C G
So what if I was wrong?
          Am C G
O what if I was wrong?

I think theres a little slip in there. What if I was wrong isnt Am - G - C, its Am - C - G I believe.

I think that "What if I was Wrong" Part is "Em C G" at least the first time..

good tab, but the "What if I was wrong sounds off. I agree with @Rowan.M, tht does sound better, but the Am sound kinda weird to me in tht section, but it defiantly not A major, and the Em doesnt sound any better to be either...ill be thinking. But good job over all. I LOVE THIS SONG!!!
