[VERSE 1]
       Am7
Sing a sad song
     Fmaj7
In a lonely place
D7sus2 E7 G
Try to put a word in for me
          Am7
It's been so long
        Fmaj7
Since I found a space
    D7sus2 E7 G
You better put in two or three
      Am7 Fmaj7
We as people, are just walking 'round
    D7sus2 E7 G
Our heads are firmly fixed in the ground
        Am7
What we don't see
        Fmaj7
Well it can't be real
     D7sus2 E7 G
What we don't touch we cannot feel

[CHORUS]
C G
While we're living in this town
    Am7 Fmaj7
The sun is coming up and it's going down
         C G D Dsus4 D
But it's all just the same at the end of the day
        C Cadd9
Well we cheat and we lie
  Am7 Fmaj7
Nobody says its wrong so we don`t ask why
           C
Cause it's all
         G
Just the same
                  D Dsus4 D
At the end of the day

            Fmaj7 C
Throwing it all away
            Fmaj7 C
Throwing it all away
                   Fmaj7 C Esus4 E
We're throwing it all away at the end of the day

[VERSE 2]
        Am7
If you need it
          Fmaj7
Something I can give
  D7sus2 E7 G
I know I'd help if I can
          Am7 Fmaj7
If you're honest and you say that you did
    D7sus2 E7
You know that I would give you my hand
      Am7
Or a sad song
     Fmaj7
In a lonely place
     D7sus2 E7 G
I'll try to put a word in for you
       Am7
Need a shoulder?
                   Fmaj7
Well if that's the case
    D7sus2 E7 G
You know there's nothing I wouldn't do

The copy I have of this song is in a different key, but for some reason I feel the guitar is also out of tune in the song. I'm not sure if maybe its the vinyl distorting it or what.
