[Intro]
G A D Bm
[Verse]
G A
Placing a smile at the perfect event,
D Bm
Gracing your skin with the side of my hand,
G A
If I ever leave, I could learn to miss you,
D Bm
But sentimental boy is my nom de plume.
G A D A
Let me save you, hold this rope.
[Chorus]
G A D Bm
I may never sleep tonight,
G A D Bm
As long as you're still burning bright,
G A
If I could trade mistakes for sheep,
D Bm
Count me away before you sleep,
G A
I'll stay awake 'til I trade my mistakes
D Bm
Or they fade away.
[Instrumental]
G A D Bm
[Verse]
G A
I feel marooned in this body,
D Bm
Deserted, my organs could go on without me,
G A
You can't fly these wings,
D Bm
You can't sleep in this box with me,
G A D A
Let me save you, hold this rope.
[Chorus]
G A D Bm
I may never sleep tonight,
G A D Bm
As long as you're still burning bright,
G A
If I could trade mistakes for sheep,
D Bm
Count me away before you sleep,
G A
I'll stay awake 'til I trade my mistakes
D Bm
Or they fade away.
[Bridge]
F#m G
So let me save you
A D
Hold this rope and I'll pull you in
F#m G
'Cause I am an anchor
A D
Save her or feel it sinking in
F#m G A D
Let me save you, hold this rope
(This is only the greatest story ever told)
F#m G A D
I am an anchor, sinking her
(With lightning in my head to be brought to the world)
[Chorus]
G A D Bm
I may never sleep tonight
G A D Bm
As long as you're still burning bright
G A
If I could trade mistakes for sheep,
D Bm
Count me away before you sleep,
G A
I'll stay awake 'til I trade my mistakes
D Bm
Or they fade away.

Heya these chords are great but if you want to play along with recording just transpose everything up a semitone so the chords would be G# A# D# Cminor. An easy way to do this would be to put a capo on the 1st fret :)

I found that it sounds better when you put a capo on the 1st fret. Also for "Let me save you, hold this rope", try playing it like this:
G A Gbm A
Let me save you, hold this rope
