Try barring the 5th fret (A chord) and hit the low E, then strumming twice. Follow that by hitting your high E, then use your middle finger to do a hammer on on the b string 5-6, remove it for another quick 5 on the b string. That's how I play it an it sounds pretty damn close to the song.

It's good but not perfect. One suggestion would be to change the intro (and all choruses with this part) from what it is to: e|---5---- B|-----6-5 It makes more sense because your fingers are already there.
