Pink Floyd - "Fat Old Sun" (Gilmour)

[Verse]

G D
When the fat old sun in the sky is falling,
F C G
Summer evening birds are calling.
                    D
Summer Sunday and a year,
    F C G
The sound of music in my ears.

Distant bells,
D F C
New-mown grass smells so sweet.
G D
By the river holding hands,
F C G
Roll me up and lay me down.

[Chorus]

           C Bm
And if you see, don't make a sound.
Am G
Pick your feet up off the ground.
           C Bm
And if you hear as the warm night falls
Am Dm
The silver sound from a tongue so strange,
Gm
Sing to me,
Dm F D
Sing to me.

[Verse]

D G D
When that fat old sun in the sky is falling,
F C G
Summer evening birds are calling.
                    D
Children's laughter in my ears,
    F C G
The last sunlight disappears.

[Chorus]

           C Bm
And if you see, don't make a sound.
Am G
Pick your feet up off the ground.
           C Bm
And if you hear as the warm night falls
Am Dm

Sing to me,
Dm F
Sing to me.

there is just one thing that its missing, when you are about to change the chord from G to C in the chorus you could play something like this e -3-----------0-| B -3-----------1-| G -0-----------0-| D -0--------0--2-| A -2--2--3-----3-| E -3-----------x-|

@paxunion no, it's "off the ground". above the ground wouldn't make much sense ;)

Great tab! Very helpful... But try playing this for your Gm: e -3-------------| B -x-------------| G -3-------------| D -0-------------| A -x-------------| E -3-------------| Instead of: e -3-------------| B -3-------------| G -3-------------| D -0-------------| A -1-------------| E -3-------------| It's easier, and sounds pretty much the exact same. Both are the same chord, but one is much easier to switch to.
