Unless there's terminology I'm not familiar with, "keys walkdown" sounds inaccurate to what happens in the bridge part. There is no changing of key there, as far as I can tell.
The bridge part seems to me just like hanging on G with a descending melody for three measures until the C# comes in. The G part worked well for me as a descending bassline, G - G/F - G/E - G/D, played with:
