if you just tuned the 6th string(top e) down to d, which i believe rob zombie does play in drop d, then it'll be alot easier and the switch to the next note will sound better as well(just my opinion) e b g d||4-4----3----2 a||4-4----3----2 d||4-4----3----2

I agree with post above me. Whenever I play a song using mostly the last three wires ( Very often heavy metal of such ) I always tune my guitar to drop D, because it gives me variability, and two deeper notes, and it is much easier to play like that.
