First, I like the version in D more than in C, sounds more genuine to me. Suggestion for further nuance: your Am is actually a D9 (D-bass far more logical and plays easier) xx0210 Intro: D7 D9 G A7 A7sus2 .... Verse D D/C# D7 ...when times get rough Chorus D7 D9 G A7 A7sus2 D Bm Like a bridge ov-er troubled water For the rest, great version if you worked that out on your own.

I'D like to add Move Capo to whatever key fits your Voice. Capo 6 is the album Key of E Flat. Played in an A shape first chord. You Can place Capo on any fret for a Key That best suits your Singing Ability and still use the A shape chord pattern. or any other chord shapes best for you. I just went to youtube played along with the song using Capo 6 worked well. YES there are a few chords and tones missing from this post. between verse it's A to D--A to D with single note runs. on an A chord just before the pre-chorus line you hear the bass note drop from A then A flat then G. the piano runs are arpeggio's of the notes within the chords your playing. so the notes are there if you put some work in. if you really want to play a great version. you'll blow yourself away especially if you can play and sing at professional level. Pencom got you 98 % of the way. play along with the recording and figure the the other 2 % and make it your own. I Still Give Pencom 2 Thumbs up. I figured out the rest including most of the piano runs. Sometimes When learning by Ear sometimes you need to put the guitar down. And JUST LISTEN. And LISTEN. YOU CAN"T Play it. If you can't hear it. And your Version does not have to be spot on perfect. capture the essence and deliver with Passion. It's a big song to cover with maybe 10 15 musicians and singers. And you got the Heart to sing it solo with your acoustic. Very Ambitious. good luck

OK everybody I like this, But you all need to listen to the piano and figure out the passing tones being played, hear them and find them in the chords posted here. this song is not just strum, you need to play more like a piano player, your fingers need to glide and dance on the strings. the post here capo 1 first Chord D. So this song is E Flat. I tried the Capo 6th fret. Still E flat. But I'm Playing An A Shape chord for my first chord. Now when you play it this way the high notes in each chord sound much more like the piano. I suggest you favor the high notes through out. on the chorus D C#m F#m you climb higher D at 8th fret C#m 10th fret play the 3 highest notes then F#m an octave up at the 11th fret the highest note E flat 1st finger C 3rd finger G middle finger. So take this Post. first transpose from his capo 1 D chord to Key of A for your correct chords through out. Then put your Capo 6th fret. now your playing out of an A shape. but your still in the true Key of E Flat. I think your all going to hear the difference and like it. and the chord pattern is easy to play. you now will hear the tones your looking for in high notes of each chord. Hey Pencom Good work Thanks
