This sounds like it's out of tune or key? not sure why...are they tuned to standard?

I believe these are the chords Matty plays on the chorus:
each chord is played 8th notes for two bars

Having a quick look at that video - without my guitar handy I must add - it looks like he's playing a G shape and a D shape and then 'walking down' the E-string when playing the G. Will try tonight and add in if I can get it sounding right!
