   C F C G
Oh let the grasses grow and the waters flow In a free and easy way
    C F C G C
But give me enough of the rare old stuff That's made near Galway Bay
     C C C Am
Come gougers all from Donegal Sligo and Leitrim too
          C F C G C
And we'll give 'em the slip and we'll take a sip Of the rare old Mountain Dew

[Chorus]

        C F C G
Skideri-diddle-dum, Skideri-diddle-dum, Skideri-um-A-di, A-diddle-ey-day
        C F C G C
Skideri-diddle-dum, Skideri-diddle-dum, Skideri-um-A-di, A-diddle-dum-day

[Verse 2]

          C C C F
There's a neat little still at the foot of the hill And the smoke curls up to the sky
     C F C G C
By a whiff of the smell you can plainly tell That there's poitín, boys, close by
       C C C F
For it fills the air with a perfume rare And betwixt both me and you
   C F C G C
As home we roll, we'll drink a bowl Or a bucketful of Mountain Dew

[Chorus]

        C F C G
Skideri-diddle-dum, Skideri-diddle-dum, Skideri-um-A-di, A-diddle-ey-day
        C F C G C
Skideri-diddle-dum, Skideri-diddle-dum, Skideri-um-A-di, A-diddle-dum-day

[Verse 3]

        C C C F
Whereas learned men as use the pen Have written your praises high
     C F C G C
That sweet poitín from Ireland green That's made from wheat and rye
   C C C F
Go away with your pills, it'll cure all ills For a Pagan, Christian or Jew
     C F C G C
Take off your coat and grease your throat With a bucketful of Mountain Dew

[Chorus]

It's called lilting, there's not a specific sound you should or shouldn't be making, I personally do a di'li'dlle sound(only way I can describe it)
