Great chord transcription, thank you! According to a sheet music preview on musicnotes.com, I'm seeing that the first G7 on the verses (the end of the first line) is really just a standard G. This adds a build up for when the G7 does come in as a change at the end of the second line.
In that case, the first verse would look like this:
C Dm G
The night we met I knew I, needed you so.
C Dm G7
And if I had the chance I'd never let you go
And the same for the beginning of the second verse.
