[Verse]
      D A E
Found someone who can comfort me, but there are always exceptions
      D A E
And she's good at appearing sane, but I just want you to know
      D A E
She's the one makes me feel so good when everything is against me
      D A E
Picks me up when I'm feeling down, so I've got something to show

[Chorus]
   D E C D
Staring at empty pages, centered 'round the same old plot
   D E C D
Staring at empty pages, flowing along the ages

[Verse]
   D A E
Often lost and forgotten, the vagueness and the mud
   D A E
I've been thinking I'm working too hard, but I've got something to show

[Chorus]
   D E C D
Staring at empty pages, centered 'round the same old plot
  D E C D
Staring at empty pages, flowing along the ages

The chord changes are just written too few & far between. Should be more like (D) found some(A)one who can (E)comfort me etc...2 chords per measure as opposed to one per...

Lack of accuracy. Not right. The chords are not right, there's so much more to it than straight chords... Just listen to it more.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but this just doesn't seem right
