The Em is actually Em9 (024000), the Gmaj7 is G6/9 (320200), and if you play your D chord as (554000) and C chord as (332000) you'll get more of that open/haunting feel Warren is getting. Also in the verses the G6/9 and C are anticipated, on the up beat and then they're on the down of 1 on the choruses. Just an idea, something to listen for/to for changing up your playing and challenging you a bit.
