Here is my version of the chorus. Might still be wrong but it feels naughty. Take a look.

Not sure if I've used correct notation for the chord bend… here it is in english.
Play the first A normally, all strings.
While the open strings continue to ring out, play A (just the three strings with fingers on) and bend all three fingers up a little, then ease them back down (in that sultry sexy way Beat Happening do it).
This makes sense with the main riff when you think about it, it follows more or less the same notes:
E - G - A - bend toward B flat and back down to A
or tabbed on the low E string:
0 - 3 - 5 - bend to 6 - 5
