Bee Gees - Run To Me
Tuning - EADGBE
[Verse 1]
A G
If ever you got rain in your heart,
F#m E D F#m
someone has hurt you, and torn you apart,
Bm E A
am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?
A G
And let it be like they said it would be -
F#m E D F#m
me loving you girl, and you loving me.
Bm E A
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?
[Chorus]
A C#m
Run to me whenever you're lonely
D Dm
Run to me if you need a shoulder
A G F#
Now and then, you need someone older,
Dm E A
so darling, you run to me.
[Verse 2]
A G
And when you're out in the cold,
F#m E D F#m
no one beside you, and no one to hold,
Bm E A
am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?
A G
And when you've got nothing to lose,
F#m E D F#m
nothing to pay for, nothing to choose,
Bm E A
am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me
[Chorus]
A C#m
Run to me whenever you're lonely
D Dm
Run to me if you need a shoulder
A G F#
Now and then, you need someone older,
Dm E A
so darling, you run to me.

Regarding the open tuning: yes Barry always plays in open tuning , he has done it forever, he learned that way and wrote so many beautiful songs that way. My band were their backing band back in Australia years ago. It’s the way it is

Yeah, pretty much sounds correct, but in the verse "someone has hurt you, and torn you apart", i was wondering if it was just 'F#m' 'D' instead of the extra 'E' 'F#m'? Maybe that was added as a little extra?
Also i think Barry may be playing in alternate tuning in one of the videos (https://youtu.be/mgdMvXb00ag) as he appears to play a completely open stringed 'D' in the verse? See what you think!
So although this version is extremely accurate i can only give 4 stars as it's not quite spot on... I have a feeling the tuning must be 'drop D' although not entirely sure as i am still learning the very early stages of alternate tuning myself!
Still a great tab though! I shall enjoy playing this, what a lovely song, very soothing!

Is the BM NOT better as f#m - unwise to open up your eyes ?
