The latter one is bass note, example F/Eb, you take F-chord, but instead of playing F (root) as a bass note, you play Eb. For guitarist these are usually standard stuff like D/F# etc, but most importantly the bass player should take those 2nd notes (after /). Hopefully this helps. Br, Heikki
