No one's really tabbed too much from "The Path Of Totality" yet, so I figured
I'd give a song or two a go, thinking "it can't be too hard! It's Korn doing dubstep!"
Well, I was pretty much right, but there are a lot of subtle little things going on
in this tune, so it was hard to catch some of the guitar parts or figure out what's
guitar and what's synth. This turned out to be a really detailed tab, since there are lots
and lots of subtle guitar tracks creeping in and out of the mix. I probably could have
condensed this into just the main riff and a couple of the other parts, but I wanted to catch
every little guitar detail in the track because I don't half-ass these things. Some of the
tacits (pauses for you non-theory-heads) appear in different places during repeats of the
chorus, and the backing of the bagpipe solo changes a little in the last bar.
 
I've arranged the bagpipe solo for guitar. Note the instructions. If it seems hard to play,
I'll probably end up editing this with a link to a video of me playing it!
 
I always thought this song was played on an eight-string because it sounds lower than
Munky's usual A-standard seven-string riffage, but it turns out the lowest note is a G, so
drop-G seems to work best for this piece. I could be wrong, and it could still be played
on an eight-string, but I've arranged it for 7-string in drop-G regardless. Besides, Korn has
used this tuning on a track before ("Dirty" from the Issues album), so it makes sense they'd
use it again!
