Also, just as a tip, I find that playing 4-0 instead of one 4-2 when the bass seems to sound cool

On the main riff there's more notes in it, like this: E|---------------------------------| B|---------------------------------| G|---------------------------------| D|-4--4--4--4--2-4-4--4--4--4--2-4-| A|-4--4--4--4------4--4--4--4------| E|-2--2--2--2------2--2--2--2------| In the intro, if you bend the chord slightly with your fingers as you play you can get it to sound more like the song.
