[Verse]
N.C. F Am G F G C Em Dm C
I was tired of my lady, we'd been together too long
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
Like a worn out recording, of a favorite song
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
So while she lay there sleepin', I read the paper in bed
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
And in the personal columns, there was this letter I read
[Chorus]
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
If you like Pina Colada, and gettin' caught in the rain
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
If you're not into yoga, if you have half a brain
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
If you like makin' love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
I'm the lady you've looked for, write to me and escape

I didn't think about my lady, I know that sounds kind of mean
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
But me and my old lady, had fallen into the same old dull routine
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
So I wrote to the paper, took out a personal ad

And though I'm nobody's poet, I thought it wasn't half bad
[Chorus]
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
Yes, I like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
I'm not much into health food, I am into Champagne
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon, and cut thru all this red tape
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
At a bar called O'Malley's, where we'll plan our escape
[Solo]
( C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C ) x2
[Verse]
N.C. F Am G F G C Em Dm C
So I waited with high hopes, when she walked in the place
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
I knew her smile in an instant, I knew the curve of her face
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
It was my own lovely lady, and she said, "Oh, it's you"
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
And we laughed for a moment, and I said, "I never knew
[Chorus]
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
That you liked Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
And the feel of the ocean, and the taste of champagne
C/E F Am G F G C Em Dm C
If you like makin' love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape

You're the love that I've looked for, come with me and escape"

Em should be x-x-2-0-0-0 always if you are playing it acoustic, because of the bassline.
Great chord sheet!

You are absolutely right! The other versions doesn't follow the bassline, which your version does. Thanks man! :)
