This song is primarily a bass song with the guitar performing very minimal work. I've found a good tuning that allows you to play the bass parts and the guitar parts together. Tuning is half step down with drop C (tune everything half step down, then tune 6th string another full step)
It's normally played with a bass but I transcribed it to guitar with this tuning.

Since we're incorporating the bass as the guitar you have to make sure the 6th string is always ringing.
You can also try finger picking this part while you strum so you can use the 1st string as opposed to going
from 5th fret to 3rd fret on the 2nd string. When you reach the bridge it might be better to throw some
picking in as to break up the monotony.
