The wonderful song “Made To Love” by the Everly Brothers, off the album “A Date With The
Everly Brothers”, released in 1960.
I couldn’t find chords for this song anywhere, so I figured it out and here you go. Each
chord in the verse is more like a double and quickly muted stroke, listen to the song and
you’ll see what I mean. In the choruses the C-G at the end of each line is a quick slide.
It’s a super cool track.
CAPO ON THE FIRST FRET!!! BOTH THE LEAD AND RHYTHM HAVE A CAPO ON THE FIRST FRET!!!
Lead guitar throughout the verses; capo on the 1st fret. The actual pattern of hitting
the notes and what exact notes change somewhat randomly throughout, this is the basic
pattern to start on. (Don't forget the capo if you want to sound like the recording!)

Nice - I really like that song, thanks for putting it up!
Two suggestions:
1. I think there's an Em in the chorus line, too:
[G]Girls [Em]girls [C]girls were [D]made to [G]love [C D]
2. To me, the coda is a little different:
[Em]Love, love
[G]Love, love
[Em]Love, love
[G]Love, love
What do you say?

Eddie Hodges had a minor hit with this song in 1962. The title was 'Girls, Girls, Girls.' It made it up to #62 on BB Hot 100.
OUTRO: for Everlys went as follows:
Fm Ab Fm Ab
Love, love..love, love..love, love..love, love,
Fm
love..love..(Fade.) P.S. MAQURI is right on both counts.
CHORUS goes:
Ab Fm Db Eb Ab Db Eb
Girls, girls, girls were made to love.
Ab Fm Db Eb Ab Db Eb
Girls, girls, girls were made to love.......
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
But pretty good job, anyway. I'd give it 5 stars with MAQURI's corrections. Kraziekhat.
